A collar...and leash? I don't think that'd be okay with Cloud much... Or Aeris much... I can't believe I'm saying this, but are these props purely for humilation purposes? Please say they are.

You think that that putting a collar and leash on Tifa would bother Cloud and Aeris? ::amuse:: While a feral's emotions generally don't tend to change (i.e., if feral liked you before changing, they'll like you afterward), their perspective and the way they react to those emotions do alter.

Regarding Cloud and Aeris, think of it this way. Putting a collar and leash on a pet dog doesn't mean that you don't care about or want to humiliate it. You typically do it to: (1) protect your pet (by indicating its status and/or ownership); (2) keep it out of trouble; etc.

As for Sephiroth, yes, the leash/collar definitely has the intent of humiliation. He (and Cloud and Aeris) aren't stupid -- they all know that Tifa's up to something (e.g., to spy, sabotage, rescue, etc.), because she's definitely not there with the ferals because she suddenly likes them. -_-

So Seph wants to see just how far Tifa is willing to go to stay with the ferals. And being feral, he can push pretty damn far -- farther than he would normally. As his mate, Cloud and Aeris will probably won't interfere as long as Seph's not damaging Tifa too badly. After all, because they do care (to some degree), Tifa always has the option to just -leave- and they make that perfectly clear to her.

So if Tifa sticks around and lets Sephiroth mess with her, that's really her decision and her fault if she suffers for it.

Weird. But still makes sense. I like this ficlet more and more.

I also like how you take the time to reply and explain the issues in the story. It makes you awesome.

It's no big deal. I just love blathering on about my fics, and it really provides good plotbunny fodder. ^_^;;
